Mount Kilimanjaro-Lemosho Route

8 Days 7 Nights

The Lemosho Route is considered as the most beautiful route on Mount Kilimanjaro. It starts in the rainforest, crosses the breathtaking Shira Plateau and then merges with the Machame route to share its viewpoints around the Southern circuit.

Lemosho Route was one of the first main routes to the peak of the mountain. Furthermore the Lemosho route is a very scenic route with a high successful rate. The trail starts in the rainforest and in comparison to other routes takes a longer distance in the rainforest ecosystem as a result the Lemosho Route is one of the longer ones and usually takes up to seven to eight days to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.

Due to the longer time spent in the rainforest this route gives climbers a good acclimatization to the altitude.

The descent is down Mweka, which lies in the Southeastern part of the mountain.

Lemosho is perfect for those, who are confident in walking over steeper paths for extended periods.
