Mount Kilimanjaro -Marangu Route

6 Days 5 Nights

The Marangu Route is also called the Coca-Cola Route or the Tourist Route as it is the most popular route on the mountain. It is also the only route offering sleeping huts. It is also considered as the easiest route on Mount Kilimanjaro. Though due to its easy reputation, a lot of climbers underestimate the climb and only around 35% make it to the top.

The trek starts in the south-east area of the mountain at Marangu Gate. In comparison to the other routes Marangu Route is the least scenic route. However, the rainforest section is to be said the best of all trails. Nevertheless you also get great views along the Marangu Route.

Marangu is ideal for those, who are not as confident in hiking over steep paths. Also for those, who do not like to sleep in tents, Marangu is the perfect choice as it offers huts all along the trek.
